Welcome to My Personal Page
Dear Friends and Family,
I recently accepted the challenge of participating in the annual Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge to honour and support my father-in-law, Doug Angrove, retired Fire Chief of Victoria Fire, as he fights the battle of his life - stage 4 brain cancer.
On Sunday, May 7 2017, I will be climbing (in full duty gear) 775 vertical feet (1204 steps) of the BOW Building in downtown Calgary in support of firefighters and citizens living with cancer. Starting at 3400 feet above sea level, this climb is the highest elevation firefighter stairclimb in the world (in Western Canada's tallest building!)
I am asking you to help by supporting my fundraising efforts with a donation. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of many! All the money raised will go towards Wellspring Calgary (a place which provides free programs and resources to people who have been impacted by cancer, and those who care for them, so that no one has to face cancer alone)… We all know that cancer is a grim possibility in this line of work.
Thank you very much,
