Welcome to My Personal Page
I’m participating in the Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge on May 5, 2019, in support of Wellspring Calgary. I’m excited to take on the challenge and look forward to pushing myself to climb the 775 vertical feet (1204 steps) of The BOW building in downtown Calgary in full duty gear.
By making a donation to me, you are helping to make a difference in the lives of many! Proceeds from the event will support Wellspring Calgary, a place that provides free programs and resources to those impacted by cancer so that no one has to face cancer alone. We all know that cancer is a grim possibility in our line of work. Thank you for helping us make a difference in the life of someone facing cancer! The main reason I climb is for all the people out there who can't climb due to their battle with cancer and whatever other struggles they continue to fight through on a daily basis. Those amazing people have so much strength to just keep pushing through and nothing I do could ever compare to what they accomplish every day. Stair climbing to raise awareness and much needed funds for charity is the least I can do especially when I still have the ability to do something about it. In my limited experience of life I've realised that nothing can be taken for granted and that I am truly lucky that I have the ability to help others and will continue to do so for as long as I can. Climbing stairs can be mentally and physically tough, but not as tough as fighting for your life each and every day. I love stair climbing because I get to meet a amazing people from all different walks of life and it is truly astonishing to see how so many people can put aside their differences and come together to support a great cause.
Thanks to your support of my participation in this event, Wellspring Calgary is excited to announce a portion of proceeds will be gifted by Wellspring to the Firefighters Assistance Charitable Society (FACS) whose mission is to empower and strengthen the firefighter by enhancing the success and resilience of the firefighter community.
